1. We value your opinion
As with every good solution, iQ.Suite owes a lot to the ideas and wealth of experience of GROUP developers. A team of experts is busy working on ways to expand and improve iQ.Suite day in, day out.
But we also very much welcome your input. Is there something you are particularly enthusiastic about? Or is there a certain functionality you would like to see added? Then please e-mail us at: marketing@group-technologies.com. We`d love to hear your ideas and suggestions.
As a small token of our appreciation, we will send a GROUP dolphin to everyone who gets in touch. In addition, every participant will be entered in a draw in which we will give away 1 digital camera and 1 iPod Shuffle. We look forward to receiving your feedback.
The last date to send us your ideas and suggestions is April 25th. Employees and partners of GROUP Technologies AG may not participate. Winners will be notified and their names announced in the next newsletter.
2. Tipps & Tricks of iQ.Suite for Lotus Domino: User Portal lightens workload of Administrator
You know the situation: just as your concentration is focussed on a particular task, the telephone rings again. Someone would like an e-mail released from quarantine, or maybe it’s someone asking for an addition to the whitelist.
Now with the iQ.Suite User Portal, you won’t have to give a second thought to these types of tasks. The beauty of our User Portal is that it gives users the opportunity to manage their own user-specific settings, thus cutting down on the administrative tasks you have to perform.
With iQ.Suite Version 11, setting it all up is incredibly simple and user-friendly. Through an agent, a filed rights and roles concept is available to you which you can apply to the relevant databases on an individual or group basis. The user-specific settings which the user is able to view and sometimes change include:
- Absence management,
- Access to the quarantine,
- Blacklist and whitelist set-up, and
- Creation of personal trailer templates.
To find out how to enable access to the standard quarantine for a typical user group, click here.
To learn how to set up your User Portal and get the most out of its functionalities for your entire company, why not come along to our training programmes? We look forward to seeing you there!
3. Public prosecutors investigating German companies
Lately there have been more and more unfortunate reports of public prosecutors investigating companies. The aim of the investigations is to uncover infringements of compliance rules. The list of companies targeted includes both DAX index heavyweights and well-known SMEs. Meanwhile, it seems there is no end to the headline-grabbing reports in sight.
For this reason, an increasing number of customers are starting to pay more attention to the subject of compliance. We have noticed that initial discussions and workshops focus on the fundamental aspects. Business management and process-oriented aspects are considered above all. But specialist IT lawyers will also consider the legal aspects and explain them in detail. The aim of this is not just to create the basic groundwork for compliance in a company, but in most cases to drive at a very specific issue: legally-compliant archiving. If you would like to know more about any of these aspects of compliance, feel free to talk to us. Expert advice and customer experience will ensure fewer (negative) headlines.
4. The Exchange/SMTP corner: Controlling sets of rules through subject command
Our rules-based management is the key to greater efficiency and security in handling e-mails. But sometimes the exception proves the rule - and the same applies to iQ.Suite. That`s why it can be sometimes helpful to set aside a defined iQ.Suite rule or else start a dedicated rule.
Subject commands represent the ideal solution for this. To find out more, click here.
