1. GROUP Technologies at Lotusphere 2008
Only a few days to go and Lotusphere 2008 will open its gates. The GROUP Technologies AG will also be there and present its solutions regarding legally compliant e-mail management. This year, particularly emphasis is put on the subjects legally compliant e-mail archiving and confidential e-mail communication.
Since reliable safekeeping of electronic communication increasingly comes to the fore, there is a growing demand for solutions which can illustrate a complete business process. GROUP offers the appropriate answer by close linking of the individual elements from the areas e-mail security and e-mail archiving.
Another highlight is the latest development from the GROUP company: iQ.Suite WebCrypt. This makes e-mail encryption possible for everybody for the first time. Since even customers and partners without their own encryption solution can exchange confidential e-mails with you as of now.
At Lotusphere you can learn how this exactly works and why we cannot imagine companies today without legally compliant e-mail management. Visit us at pedestal 432 of Relavis Corp. from 20.-24. January in Orlando/USA. Further fascinating solutions from the areas CRM and mobility will also await you there. We are looking forward to seeing you!
2. Legal Disclaimer under control: GROUP customers are perfectly prepared
2007 was the year of new legal requirements and compliance regulations. Whether compulsory statements under e-mails or the subject Legal Disclaimer in general: A GROUP solution is once more the key to success: iQ.Suite Trailer.
In 2007, more than 200,000 users decided in favour of iQ.Suite Trailer and thus of more legal security. The deciding factor for this success was in the end the fact that all company data in e-mails can be controlled centrally and made obligatory for all employees. A feature that is common to the whole iQ.Suite: central management based on rules.
You could also rely on our solution regarding exclusion from liability. Here you will find more about this.
3. Light in the darkness of the compliance jungle
Laws, ordinances, directives - from the origin of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act to the most recent standards, such as SEPA and MiFiD - enterprises increasingly see the need to deal with the general issue of "compliance". The central question remains: How can one assess the profitability of compliance?
There can be no conclusive answer to this question. Our recommendation is to first become familiar with the benefits of compliance, in order to then deal with the issue of the costs of non-compliance. Beneficial factors such as improved or even optimized transparency in communications processes - both internal and external - are undisputed. This requires that the enterprise has implemented the necessary regulation procedures - from organizational measures, such as the "four-eyes principle" and proxy provisions to the decision on which e-mails have to be encrypted and how they will later be archived in a legally compliant manner.
Other potential benefits can be derived form the "early warning system", which is required for example in the compliance framework based on standards such as BS 7799. In addition, factors resulting in the costs of non-compliance must also be considered. These include not only the legal consequences resulting (e.g. fines) from “incorrect behavior”, but also such aspects as loss of image, reworking costs and even cancellation of contracts. Compliance is a central issue for us. That is why our customers want to discuss it with us. You should, too!

6. The Exchange/SMTP corner: iQ.Suite Reporting for increased transparency

And even more: starting immediately this section will provide you with useful information on the daily use of our solution with Microsoft Exchange/SMTP.
