1. New iQ.Suite versions: iQ.Suite 13.1 for LND and iQ.Suite 9.1 for MSX/SMTP now available

With iQ.Suite 13.1 for Lotus Notes Domino and iQ.Suite 9.1 for Microsoft Exchange/SMTP, we are happy to present two new releases of the leading email management solution.

Major changes in iQ.Suite 13.1 for LND in a nutshell:

  • Includes SAVAPI 3.1 virus scanner from Avira
  • Integrated Avira Anti-Spam Engine SPACE version 10.0.2.1
  • Improved handling of S/MIME

Major changes in iQ.Suite 9.1 for MSX/SMTP in a nutshell:

  • iQ.Suite Wall
    • Integrated Avira Anti-Spam Engine SPACE version 10.0.2.1
    • Recognition of new spam patterns
    • Identification of false positives
    • Prevention of system instabilities if incorrect pattern files were used
    • Improved support for the Avira Anti-Spam Engine SPACE with auto-update functionality

5. iQ.Suite Tips and Tricks for Lotus Domino: Dynamic Rule Evaluation

iQ.Suite for Domino provides a number of advanced email security and management functions designed for an efficient implementation of the email management strategy. One of the outstanding functions offered by iQ.Suite 13.0 is the possibility that a job dynamically responds to the result returned by another job (e.g. the language of an email). This prevents that the rule set will be applied afterwards.

To make this possible, the rules required for the job need to be evaluated again before the job is run. Read here which options you have to dynamically respond to the results of previously run jobs.


6. Exchange/SMTP Corner: Automatically Change Email Sender and Recipient Addresses

Since iQ.Suite 7.0, our anti-spam solution Wall supports SMTP senders and recipients for address filtering purposes. This ensures a higher level of security. Contrary to the information in the email file, the SMTP information is manipulation-proof.

In iQ.Suite 9, the iQ.Suite Wall Email Address Filtering job now provides a "Regular Expressions" tab, which allows to use regular expressions to automatically modify the SMTP recipient, the SMTP sender and the email header.

7. Winner of the GROUP Prize Draw at ILUG in Belfast

ILUG 2010 in Belfast was this year’s highlight of the Lotus community. As the biggest sponsor, GROUP took the opportunity to present current topics related to our automated cloud platform GROUP Live, CRM in the cloud as well as our new Evolution Transformer solution for the conversion of Domino applications to XPages.
