1. Special Webinar: Data Leakage Prevention in Email Communication

Our first special webinar on the topic of "Email Encryption for Everyone" was a complete success, reason enough to continue this webinar series with selected topics.

We are therefore inviting you to learn more about the subject of "Data Leakage Prevention" (DLP) in July. Both corporate management and IT management have now become fully aware of the problem of DLP. After all, the loss of confidential and sensitive data harms companies in many ways, and the leakage of know-how, negative press, dissatisfied customers, revenue losses and competitive disadvantages are the result.

Heiko Brenn and Georg Duma, senior GROUP consultants will advise you on how to successfully ensure the protection of confidential email communication. Learn about the strategies that help to protect sensitive data and how you can safeguard outgoing, business-critical email content.

The webinar will also include a chat session during which you will have the opportunity to ask questions. You will need a PC or a laptop with a loudspeaker in order to follow the accompanying audio transmission via Voice over IP (VoIP).

2. Find out more: New whitepaper on "DLP - Protection for Outgoing Email Communication"

In the business world, awareness of the dangers of losing sensitive information is growing. The term used to define this area is Data Leakage Prevention (DLP). In email communication too, theft of data from outgoing email is a major issue and a problem that must be prevented. Do you know at what point sensitive data is placed at risk during electronic transfer and the route it takes in emails once they leave the company?

Our latest whitepaper, "Data Leakage Prevention - Protection for outgoing email communication", describes how the iQ.Suite provides maximum security when sending emails. Learn more about the various security options and how they can be usefully combined - from checks on the text content to identifying and blocking file attachments and encrypting confidential emails.

DLP should form part of any consistent IT strategy that has been devised with security in mind. Visit our website to obtain a free copy and learn more about protecting outgoing email communication in companies.

4. iQ.Suite Tips and Tricks for Lotus Domino: Changing the Product Header in User Notifications

If an email user receives a notification from the iQ.Suite, the header will contain information regarding the product, the executing module and the domino server. With certain parameters, you can modify the appearance, the content and the information displayed.

For example, this will allow you to hide the server in the display or to use the company name as the product. If you wish, you can also choose from a range of 16 colours, change the font colour of your product header or even eliminate it completely.

Here, you can discover which parameters are available to you in order to individually set the product header in your user notifications.

5. Exchange/SMTP Corner: Using iQ.Suite Data on Different Drives

Companies are required to store business-related email for a specified period of time depending on its content. To do this, email business processes should be organised in such a way that incoming and outgoing email, including any attachments, is first checked to ensure that the contents comply with laws and regulations.

Once checked, messages can then be further processed in different ways – forwarded, archived or placed in quarantine. Depending on the policies and the amount of mail, however, quarantined iQ.Suite email can become quite voluminous. In cases such as this, it may be advisable to move the iQ.Suite data directory to a dedicated drive.

The following section describes how this is done with iQ.Suite for Exchange/SMTP.
