1. CeBIT 2010: Focus on data protection and cloud computing
It's doors open again at the CeBIT in Hanover from 2-6 March 2010. This year, the theme at the world's biggest trade fair for IT is "Connected Worlds". With the rise of networking, the search is on for suitable solutions to master the technical and organisational challenges it presents. Against this interesting background, GROUP Business Software AG is again exhibiting jointly with GEDYS IntraWare GmbH at stand B20 in Hall 2.
At the GROUP exhibition stand the company is focusing on two of the issues which are currently defining the IT market: data protection and cloud computing. GROUP Technologies, the Email, Archiving and Administration Division, is making this year's appearance at the trade fair all about data protection and presenting the family of encryption products in the iQ.Suite email management solution: iQ.Suite Crypt for B2B communication, iQ.Suite WebCrypt for B2C encryption and the new iQ.Suite KeyManager for central management of keys and certificates. You will also be able to find out about iQ.Suite ClientAdmin, the intelligent solution for management of Notes infrastructures.
GROUP Live, the division for Cloud Computing and Platform-as-a-Service, will be represented for the first time at CeBIT and will exhibit its innovative Cloud Platform which will allow businesses to SaaS-enable their own solutions. This highly flexible and scaleable platform is a cost-efficient entry level option which will allow companies and software suppliers (ISVs) to simplify and fully automate management and monitoring of application environments. Just recently, GROUP Live won the coveted IBM Lotus Award.
Experts from both divisions will be available during the trade fair and will be giving presentations and live demos to familiarise visitors with their solutions. To arrange an appointment in advance, please contact Carmen Hickl, on +49721/4901-1174 or by email at carmen.hickl@group-technologies.com.

3. iQ.Suite Tips and Tricks für Lotus Domino: What does my email look like after it has been sent?
Are you an iQ.Suite Trailer user? If so, you will be aware that the requirement to comply with formal provisions and legal regulations has become more pressing than ever. However, iQ.Suite Trailer goes one step further because it can integrate additional information in outgoing emails. This might be security information, disclaimers, notification of events or individual contact information. But what does the email look like after it has been sent?
iQ.Suite provides an easy way to find out what your email looks like after it has been sent and when it arrives at its destination. How? Read about it here in the current edition of our Tips and Tricks.
4. Exchange/SMTP corner: iQ.Suite Trailer Autopositioning
The new version 8 of iQ.Suite for Exchange has enhanced functions for safeguarding and managing emails, allowing efficient implementation of your email management strategy.
With the aid of design templates, socalled patterns, iQ.Suite 8 automatically finds the right position for information at the end of a just completed email. This is particularly helpful with replies and forwarded messages.
Compulsory information or sender signatures in email replies and forwarded messages should be added at the end of each new email text. The following describes how this is done without placeholders.
5. How about a brainteaser? Find GROUP words and win a prize
Thinking is good for you! And you might learn something new. There are ten words hidden in the word search that relate to GROUP. They might be horizontal or vertical, they might cross over other words or be spelt backwards amongst all the other random letters.
Obviously, your efforts will be rewarded. If you can find your way around our word puzzle, our prize will help you find your way around the roads. Every participant will be entered in the draw for a brand new navigation system.
Winners will be announced in the next newsletter and notified by email. Please send in your entries by 26 February 2010. To do this, go to our website and use this form.
Here is a pdf version of our wordsearch for you to print out.
(Employees at GROUP Business Software AG and its partner companies are not eligible to take part)
